The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) has a long history of recognizing software’s most notable product innovations and we’re proud to say the Awake Security Platform has joined that distinguished list.

This week, SIIA announced finalists in the 35th annual CODiE Awards and the Awake Security Platform was honored as one of 150 finalists across 40 business technology categories. Awake’s network detection and response solution earned a spot in the Best Network Security Solution category for its quick time to value and ability to monitor the ”new network,” including the data center, perimeter, core, IoT and operational technology networks as well as cloud workload networks and SaaS applications.

In a few short years, Awake has been a driving force for developing innovations that strengthen cybersecurity through advanced network traffic analysis. Some of the industry-first innovations brought to market through the Awake Platform include:

  • Ava, the world’s first privacy-aware security expert system. Ava combines federated machine learning (ML) and open-source intelligence with expertise from Awake threat researchers and security analysts to identify multi-stage attacks and enable automatic threat validation and triage.
  • Adversarial models. This first-ever approach for modeling adversary behavior creates new capabilities for Awake’s own security researchers and customers to proactively hunt for attacker tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs), even as the fingerprints of those threats evolve.
  • Managed Network Detection and Response (MNDR). Most recently, Awake launched the first MNDR solution to instantly improve the maturity and effectiveness of customers’ cybersecurity programs with direct support from the threat hunting and incident response analysts at Awake Labs.

The SIIA CODiE Awards are the industry’s only peer-recognized awards program. Business technology leaders including senior executives, analysts, media, consultants and investors evaluate assigned products during the first-round review. Their scores determine the SIIA CODiE Award finalists that are voted on by SIIA members. A combined score, weighted towards industry judges, determines the winners.

“The 2020 CODiE Award finalists join a long and distinguished history of innovative products and services destined to transform the way we do business. We congratulate all of our finalists and look forward to seeing their impact across the B2B market for years to come,” said Jeff Joseph, President of SIIA.

Winners in the Business Technology category will be announced on May 18, 2020. The CODiE award ceremony will be a little different this year as SIIA plans to hold the event online in place of its typical award dinner. But the good news is, that means anyone can join this free ceremony to witness the winners announced in real-time. Keep an eye on the SIIA website for more information.
