Awake Wins InfoSec Best Product Cybersecurity Analytics Award

It’s an exciting start to the week for our team at Awake as we kick off the 2020 RSA Conference. Each year at RSA, Cyber Defense Magazine (CDM) announces the winners of its annual InfoSec Awards. For the second year in a row, our Awake Security Platform made the list, this time winning the Best Product Cybersecurity Analytics award (we won the Next-Gen Cybersecurity Analytics award last year).

CDM has spent the past six months scouring the globe for companies that create and offer the most respected information security products and services. Of the 3,200 who were considered for this year’s program, roughly 300 were awarded by CDM because of their innovations and focus on attempting to stop tomorrow’s breaches, today.

To have our platform recognized as one of the best cybersecurity solutions among steep competition is an incredible honor. We won this award because our team is so focused on delivering an advanced network traffic analysis platform that is constantly keeping our customers ahead of the complex cyber threats of the day.

Gary S. Miliefsky, Publisher of Cyber Defense Magazine, said about the winners: “These winners are the most innovative and proactive cybersecurity companies and service providers on the planet who are working to bring tomorrow’s cybersecurity solutions to market, today.”

In addition to this latest recognition, the Awake Security Platform also won CDM’s Global Award for Cybersecurity Analytics late last year. Being recognized multiple times by the same organization doesn’t happen by chance. We at Awake understand that the nature of attacks is always evolving, which is why security teams have an incredibly difficult time staying ahead of new threats. As such, we make it a priority to also evolve our offering to give the defenders the advantage with tools such as:

  • Ava™ is the world’s first security expert system that uses federated machine learning, open-source intelligence, and human expertise to perform autonomous triage and investigations without taking customer data out of their infrastructure.
  • Adversarial Modeling™ is an industry-first capability to identify attackers based on their intent. By understanding mal-intent, versus looking for only specific indicators of an attack, our platform greatly improves the ability to see and stop attackers, especially those that are living-off-the-land.
  • Managed Network Detection and Response is another cybersecurity industry-first service that enables organizations to instantly improve the maturity and effectiveness of their security programs through the unmatched visibility that our network detection and response platform provides, and the additional confidence that the platform is being monitored by our threat hunting and incident response analysts.

This is well-deserved recognition for the work our team does every day to help our customers protect their networks against the pressing threats that affect their ability to detect modern threats. We are continuously creating innovative solutions that drive the cybersecurity market forward, so we look forward to building upon this exciting win in the year ahead.
