Awake Wins InfoSec Next Gen Cybersecurity Analytics Award

Awake Security is kicking off the RSA Conference in San Francisco this week as a winner of the 2019 Cyber Defense Magazine InfoSec Award for Next Gen Cybersecurity Analytics.

In selecting winners for this award, Cyber Defense Magazine scoured the globe and evaluated nearly 3,000 companies who create and offer the most respected information security products and services. We at Awake are honored to have been included among the less than 200 winners of this year’s award program.

“In a world of nearly exponential cybercrime, data theft and the loss of personally identifiable information as well as nation-state cyber espionage, hacktivism and cyber terrorism, it’s time to focus on the most innovative solutions that might actually stop these exploiters in their tracks,” said Gary S. Miliefsky, Publisher of Cyber Defense Magazine.

Awake was recognized primarily for our ability to understand clearly what our customers’ needs are, and to deliver a product that successfully meets those needs. In real customer environments, the Awake Security Platform has emerged as a dramatically better solution for stopping elusive, modern attackers. Traditional solutions perform basic and noisy behavioral analytics, looking for known bad files, IPs, and domains – which is simply no longer good enough to stop modern attacks.

In comparison, our privacy-aware NTA solution is capable of detecting behavioral threats, mal-intent, and compliance violations with full forensics context. Awake visualizes these incidents through automatic correlation across entities, time, protocols, and attack stage.

We thus bring the skills and knowledge of the world’s foremost investigators to every customer, allowing for the detection of ever-changing attacker TTPs. Awake’s customers are able to find and stop attackers that exploit otherwise benign tools and infrastructure – something that could previously only be accomplished by the most experienced analysts with the time and resources to hunt for those threats.

This is the third honor this year recognizing our team’s commitment to addressing the market need for detecting non-malware based threats. We were previously recognized across multiple categories in the Cybersecurity Excellence Awards program and won Gold in the InfoSecurity Products Guide Global Excellence Awards in the Network Detection and Response category.

As we continue creating innovative solutions that drive the cybersecurity market forward, we look forward to more exciting wins yet to come!
