Awake Security Named to Inc. Magazines “Best Workplaces” List for Second Consecutive Year
SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 6, 2020 – Awake Security, the only advanced network traffic analysis company that delivers answers, not alerts, today announced it has been named to Inc. magazine’s annual list of the Best Workplaces for 2020. The list is the result of a wide-ranging and comprehensive measurement of private American companies that have created exceptional workplaces through vibrant cultures, deep employee engagement, and stellar benefits.
This is the second consecutive year Awake Security has earned Inc. magazine’s “Best Workplaces” designation, further highlighting the company’s exceptional culture and work environment shortly after being named one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s Best Places to Work by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. Awake appeared on the Business Journal list in April, earning that award for the second consecutive year as well.
“Great companies are much more than a good idea or a good product – having the right team behind a company is the only way it will ever reach its full potential,” said Rahul Kashyap, CEO at Awake Security. “We’re focused on building a great cybersecurity company and being repeatedly recognized as a best workplace by organizations like Inc. and the Silicon Valley Business Journal is proof that we’re on the right track. We couldn’t do any of this without the amazing people I’m privileged to work alongside every day. They are Awake Security, and the main reason behind our growing success.”
After collecting data from more than 3,000 submissions, Inc. singled out 395 finalists for this year’s list. Each nominated company took part in an employee survey, conducted by Quantum Workplace, on topics including trust, management effectiveness, perks, and confidence in the future.
The strongest engagement scores came from companies that prioritize the most human elements of work. These companies are leading the way in employee recognition, performance management, and diversity. It is a different playbook from a decade ago, when too many firms used the same template: free food, open work environments, and artifacts of “fun.”
“Building a great corporate culture comes only from strong leadership,” says Inc. magazine editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “The companies on Inc.’s Best Workplaces list are setting an example that the whole country can learn from, especially now, when company culture is more important to the workforce than ever.”
